Beyond Eventual Consistency: Architecting Deterministic State Machine Replication for Local Multi-Agent Clusters
While eventual consistency suffices for traditional web workloads, autonomous AI swarms with side-effecting capabilities demand strict linearizability and deterministic state convergence. This technical treatise investigates the implementation of Raft-based State Machine Replication (SMR) over zero-trust WireGuard overlays for self-hosted, multi-agent edge clusters. By decoupling probabilistic neural inference from deterministic write-ahead logging and atomic state transitions, we construct an unyielding architectural blueprint for sovereign, Byzantine-resilient machine intelligence.
